Background:

Established in March 2000, the Cancer Education and Research Foundation (CERFT) has provided treatment through clinical trials to nearly 400 cancer patients. At any given time, there are approximately 15 separate trials being offered to treat breast, lung, colorectal, leukemia/lymphoma, prostate, pancreatic, and ovarian cancers.

CERFT is currently exploring more opportunities to assist cancer patients and their families through supporting community education programs for prevention, detection, and treatment; financial and emotional/psychological assistance; continuing education for medical professionals; and a pioneering program to provide research in the area of adolescent/young adult cancer.
